The Stacking Academy ("the Academy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to thestackingacademy.com and the member area.
Information you provide. When you request access, apply to build with us, or maintain a member profile, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, city, profession, social handles, portfolio links, a résumé (if you choose to upload one), a short biography, and any content you post inside the community.
Information collected automatically. When you use the site we record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and we set an essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We record the time you were last active so the community can show who is online. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We use your information to operate your membership and authenticate you; to display the member directory and community feed according to your visibility settings; to send you invitations, acknowledgments, and Academy communications; to review applications; to maintain security; and to improve the Academy.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that operate the Academy on our behalf — such as our web host and our email-delivery provider, and, if the Concierge feature is enabled, the provider that powers it — and only as needed to run the service. Your profile information is visible to other members according to your tier and your chosen visibility settings. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Academy and its members.
We keep your information for as long as your membership is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request correction or deletion of your information at any time.
You can review and update most of your information from your profile. To access, correct, or delete your information, or to close your account, contact us at support@thestackingacademy.com.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Academy is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
